I’m a forty-something businessman, and until a few months ago, I felt that I had already attained everything that I want in life: a healthy family, financial security, and a flourishing business. But recently, I have realized that somehow there’s something missing; a nagging feeling at the back of my head was telling me that there’s more that I can do, not for myself, but to the world around me.

I started to think of ways how I can make a difference in my own little way. Since I am perennially busy with work and my family, I realized that a more hands-on approach would not suit me. Finally, I decided that the best way to help out, given my circumstances, is to give a little something to charity.

Last week, a valued friend introduced me to the idea that I can donate my boat to charity; I was surprised to find out that he has already donated two boats in the past five years. As a sailing enthusiast, I have accumulated a small collection of boats over the years, so the idea that I can donate boats to charity seemed perfect for me. The friend who gave me this advice also introduced me to an online organization which accepts boat donations. This website has enabled me to donate one of my old boats to a worthy cause and find the purpose that I have been missing my entire life.
